based on money earned in Concours de Reining Internationals (CRIs)
organized by their respective countries. Each country that earned
a final's berth in Reining's team competition at the 2002 World

countries can send one representative. The qualifying period ends
on October 15, 2004. Those countries that are eligible to send
two riders are the United States, Canada, Italy, Germany, and
Great Britain.
Volker Schmitt and
Steffen Breug top the German list. For Italy, Marco Ricotta and
Dario Carmignani lead their country's standings while Richard
Lemay and Waldemar Wass lead Sweden's standings. For the United
States, Todd Sommers and Todd Crawford are the top two contenders.
